Job Summary

Job Title: Meat Clerk

Reports To: Meat Manager

The Meat Clerk maintains stock levels within the Meat Department's sales floor by replenishing products as needed. Provides exceptional service to all guests both behind the service counter and on the sales floor.

Position Details: Part-Time, 16+ years old, Friday and Saturday evenings required.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist guests in finding items on or off the sales floor
• Receive, prepare, and fulfill guest orders and special requests
• Provide excellent guest service by answering department calls professionally and engaging with guests on the sales floor
• Support teammates and contribute positively to the Meat Department's culture
• Address guest concerns and resolve issues using the boomerang principle
• Inspect, rotate, maintain proper temperatures, and replenish all meat products on display to ensure quality standards
• Maintain proper inventory levels for supplies like containers, wraps, and tags
• Follow proper procedures to maintain food safety logs and quality standards, including meeting quantity expectations at 10 am and 5 pm
• Attend work as scheduled and provide adequate notice for absences
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Knowledge of safety requirements and company safety policies
• Ability to recognize and react to safety hazards; trained in equipment use such as slicers, proper lifting, trash compactors, and balers

• Stand, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly

• Lifting up to 80 pounds occasionally

WORK SCHEDULE

The Meat Clerk position can be part-time or full-time, with shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
