Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Collegeville, PA seeks a part-time Meat Clerk to maintain pricing, stocking, and rotation of all merchandise in the meat department. This role reports to the Meat Manager and follows FSIS standards to keep the area clean, safe, and sanitary.

Responsibilities include unloading deliveries, pricing, stocking shelves, assisting in displays, rotating perishables, handling damaged goods, and maintaining appearance per policy. Non-Exempt status and shift adherence are expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in unloading and separating delivered merchandise.
• Transport stock to storage areas and keep shelves stocked.
• Open cartons and price items as needed.
• Build store displays and arrange meat bunker items.
• Rotate perishables and remove out-of-code product.
• Handle damaged goods per policy and maintain cleanliness.
• Sanitize meat preparation areas and maintain department standards.
• Ensure assigned section is neatly presented at shift end.
• Greet customers and observe store policies.
• Adhere to all department procedures.

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt.

JOB SUMMARY:

To maintain pricing, stocking, and rotation of all merchandise in the meat department. Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary meat department in accordance with company policies and FSIS standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assist in unloading and separating the delivered merchandise.
• Transport stock for storage to stock areas.
• Open cartons and price items (if needed) accurately.
• Keep store shelves fully stocked according to tag allocations.
• Assist in building store displays and meat bunker items.
• Keep perishable merchandise rotated and pull out-of-code product as needed.
• Control the level of damaged goods and handle them according to company policy.
• Assist in the cleaning and sanitation of the meat preparation room during the work shift.
• Properly present assigned section prior to leaving at the end of scheduled work shift.
• Observe policies and procedures established for each department.
• Greet customers who come into the store and be observant.
• Maintain a neat appearance according to the company’s dress code policy.
• Abide by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Maintenance of price and protection program.
• Housekeeping of sales and back room areas.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise, maintain proper inventory level and ensure rotation of product.
• Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise in specific areas.
• Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds at least forty percent (40%) of the time.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to stand upright for most of your scheduled work shift.
