Job summary

BP Supply, Inc. is a family-owned West Texas leader in oilfield services, specializing in downhole rod pumps, oilfield parts, and measurement solutions.

We are seeking a hands-on technician to join our team in Carlsbad, NM to support gas and liquid measurement operations. The candidate will collect samples, install and calibrate electronic flow computers, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot systems to ensure accurate measurements.

Qualifications

• 1 year of oil and gas measurement experience.
• Proficiency with oilfield measurement equipment and software.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

• Sample Collection & Testing: Collect and test gas and liquid samples to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Equipment Installation & Calibration: Install, commission, program, and calibrate electronic flow computers for optimal performance.
• Routine Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on measurement systems, including changing orifice plates and transmitters.
• System Installation & Troubleshooting: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot measurement systems and equipment to maintain operational efficiency.
• Meter Run Construction: Construct meter runs for precise and reliable measurements.
• Separator Servicing: Service three-phase portable separators to ensure correct functioning.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in gas or fluid measurement.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in using various oilfield measurement equipment and computer software.

Organization & Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
