IntelliPro seeks a Measurement & Electrical Technician in Hallettsville, TX to support safe operation and maintenance of gas measurement, instrumentation, electrical and related equipment in a field role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of directly relevant training/experience.
  • Associate degree in a relevant technical field preferred, or equivalent combination.
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required and must be maintained.
  • Strong technical, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of safety policies, procedures, and applicable codes.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow technical instructions, SOPs, and O&M manuals.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

  • Test, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate meters and measurement equipment.
  • Maintain pressure regulators, control valves, relief valves, and pneumatic devices.
  • Work with RTUs and EGM systems and gas analyzers.
  • Perform routine maintenance on gas odorizers and report usage.
  • Operate and maintain power supply systems and inline heaters.
  • Identify pipes, valves and fittings using measurement devices.
  • Install and maintain small-diameter instrument piping and tubing.
  • Ensure electrical installations comply with codes and company requirements.
  • Use test and inspection equipment to verify operation and calibration.
  • Prepare maintenance, inspection, and operational reports.
  • Develop and document gas-handling procedures.
  • Assist with routine measurement activities and mentor less-experienced staff as needed.
  • Support work planning and budget-related information.
  • Recognize abnormal equipment or operating conditions and respond appropriately.
  • Follow SOPs, O&M manuals, and regulatory requirements; participate in safety programs.

Job Summary (Responsibilities and Requirements)
  • We are seeking a Measurement & Electrical Technician to support the safe, reliable operation and maintenance of gas measurement, instrumentation, electrical, and related equipment. This is a field-oriented role requiring strong technical and analytical skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with coworkers, contractors, and other teams.
  • The technician will be responsible for testing, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, installing, and calibrating a variety of measurement and control equipment while ensuring all work complies with company procedures, applicable codes, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Test, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate:
    • Meters and measurement equipment
    • Pressure regulators
    • Control valves and relief valves
    • Pneumatic control devices
    • RTUs and EGM systems
    • Gas analyzers
  • Perform routine maintenance on gas odorizers, including setting injection rates and reporting usage and concentration.
  • Operate and maintain power supply systems and in-line heaters.
  • Identify pipes, valves, and fittings using appropriate measurement devices.
  • Install and maintain small-diameter instrument piping and tubing.
  • Ensure electrical installations comply with applicable codes, standards, and company requirements.
  • Use test and inspection equipment to verify proper operation and calibrate instruments.
  • Perform routine testing, inspections, and maintenance activities.
  • Prepare accurate and complete maintenance, inspection, and operational reports.
  • Develop and document gas-handling procedures.
  • Assist with routine measurement-related activities and provide basic guidance to contractors or less-experienced employees when required.
  • Assist with work planning and provide information to support budget-related activities.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to abnormal equipment or operating conditions.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate actively in company safety programs and maintain a strong safety-focused work environment.
  • Perform additional duties related to electrical controls, equipment operation, measurement, telecommunications, mechanical maintenance, and operations as business needs require.
Required Qualifications

Work Environment & Schedule
  • Primarily a field/outdoor position, with some indoor work for training, meetings, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be willing and able to work: Overtime/Weekends/Shifts
  • On-call and standby assignments
  • Overnight travel, as required
