About the role:

Mechanical Technician

Duration 12 Months

Location Speaks Station - Hallettsville, TX

General Accountabilities:

Recognize and react to abnormal conditions associated with responsibilities.

Complete reports completely.

Work in a safe, responsible manner and participate in safety-related programs.

Participate as a work group team member and maintain a cooperative work relationship with fellow employees.

Perform work in compliance with Company procedures and external regulatory bodies through adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals.

You will exercise no formal supervision; however, this role requires providing basic guidance to contractors or less experienced employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test, inspect meters, pressure regulators, control valves, relief valves, pneumatic control devices, RTUs, EGM systems, and gas analyzers.
• Perform routine maintenance on an odorizer, set injection rates, and report usage and concentration.
• Operate and maintain power supply systems.
• Identify pipe, valves, and fittings using measurement devices.
• Ensure electrical installations meet applicable codes and standards.
• Install small diameter instrument piping and tubing.
• Use test and inspection equipment to verify and calibrate instruments.
• Operate and maintain in-line heaters.
• Perform basic tests and inspections.
• Write gas handling procedures.
• Help plan work and contributing budget-related information.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of directly relevant training and experience.
• Strong technical and demonstrated through training, formal education, or experience.
• Communicate verbally and in writing to collect and communicate basic facts.
• Willing to assist with more complex tasks, equipment and procedures
• Must have and maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License.
• Desire to learn as a Measurement and Electrical Technician.
• Working knowledge of operations used in the maintenance of these facilities.
• Reside or be willing to relocate within 30 miles of the assigned reporting location.
