Job summary

Pearson Advanced Associate, Measurement, part of the Psychometric and Research Services group in the US School Assessment team, provides data analysis support for large-scale assessment programs. The role emphasizes problem solving, collaboration, and applying AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency.

Under supervision, you will perform exploratory analyses, debug tools, and prepare data for internal use, with travel up to 5% and a salary range of $60,000–$70,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or evidence of success in quantitative courses or software programming/development courses.
• Direct experience in basic item and test analysis, and evaluation of outcomes from analyses.
• Experience with statistical analysis platforms (SAS or Python) or languages (C#, R, Java).
• Exposure to structured programming languages or coursework.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, CoPilot, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Takes direction from psychometric leads and follows best practices.
• Conducts analyses using exploratory techniques and statistics under supervision.
• Executes and debugs existing analysis tools per specifications.
• Applies software development discipline in daily tasks.
• Works with diverse data structures and moderately complex files.
• Evaluates data suitability and quality for analysis purposes.
• Prepares and formats data for internal use by teams.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and tech staff on deliverables.
• Demonstrates openness to learning AI-enabled tools to boost efficiency.
• Meets schedules while working independently, even under pressure.
• May travel up to 5% with advance scheduling.
