Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD in Chester, NJ. The role includes assisting with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

Starting pay ranges from $23/hour (non-acuity) to $33/hour (acuity), plus a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments after meeting hours targets.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older.
Valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
Lifting may be required depending on client needs.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on support to help individuals build independence and confidence at home, in the community, and in the workplace.
Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties as needed.
Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
