Volunteers of America Colorado Branch in Commerce City, CO is seeking a Meals on Wheels Program Coordinator I to work with staff, volunteers, and external partners to connect seniors to services. The role manages intake, reassessments, and referrals while maintaining confidential client records.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with sound judgment in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional communication with clients, volunteers, staff, and partners.
• Ability to handle sensitive information per agency policies and regulations.
• Proficiency in using the telephone for extended periods delivering high-quality service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn program-specific databases.

Responsibilities

• Establishes trusting relations with coworkers, peers, and program participants.
• Collaborates with team to serve participants in a comprehensive, caring way.
• Maintains intake services, annual reassessments, and ongoing referrals.
• Answers incoming calls regarding services and assists with eligibility and enrollment navigation.
• Connects clients to housing, SNAP, and healthcare resources.
• Maintains caseloads of 300-500 clients with confidential records.
• Coordinates services for Medicaid clients and acts as primary client support contact.
• Handles crisis situations professionally and reports incidents as required.
• Keeps client information confidential and secure.
• Assists Volunteer Specialist with daily duties and supports client routes as needed.
