Job summary

Volunteers of America is seeking a Volunteer Specialist in Commerce City, CO to recruit, orient, train, and coordinate volunteers for the Meals on Wheels program. You will place volunteers on delivery routes, monitor engagement, and ensure timely data reporting and program metrics.

You will collaborate with Aging & Nutrition Services staff, Drivers, and program teams to sustain a 600–800 volunteer base, handle monthly reports, and support compliance and funding requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience working with or supporting volunteers or customer-facing roles.
• Own transportation, valid Colorado driver's license and state-mandated automobile insurance.
• Associate degree in related field or equivalent relevant experience.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate volunteers to assign routes and ensure service delivery.
• Maintain regular communication with volunteers to ensure engagement.
• Track volunteer hours and prepare monthly reports.
• Support data accuracy and reporting integrity with team.
• Assist with volunteer recognition and onboarding.
