Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado seeks a Meals on Wheels Program Coordinator I to collaborate with staff, volunteers, and external agencies to serve at-risk seniors living independently. The role connects seniors to needed services via referrals to vetted providers.

Responsibilities include intake, reassessments, and ongoing referrals while maintaining confidential records in compliance with policies. Full-time, in-person, Commerce City, CO.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management skills for fast-paced environment.
• Professional communication with clients, volunteers, staff, and partners.
• Ability to handle confidential information per policies and regulations.
• Experience using telephone for extended periods while delivering high-quality customer service.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and assist with navigating eligibility and enrollment processes.
• Maintain intake services, annual reassessments, and ongoing referrals.
• Connect clients to community resources (housing, SNAP, healthcare).
• Maintain confidential client records and regulatory-compliant reports.
• Coordinate services for Medicaid clients and serve as primary point of contact.
