Job summary

Leavenworth USD453 is seeking a Nutrition Driver I/OC for Leavenworth County. This on-call, intermittent position delivers Meals on Wheels to homebound seniors, adheres to safety and vehicle maintenance procedures, and communicates with the Nutrition Coordinator as needed.

Responsibilities include documenting mileage, reporting non-deliveries, and maintaining a clean, well-run vehicle while following all city/county road rules and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Possess and maintain a valid Kansas Driver's License with an excellent driving record.
• Ability to obtain AED and CPR certification.
• Must pass pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Delivers Meals on Wheels to homes in Leavenworth County.
• Notifies Nutrition department by phone or radio if a homebound client is not home.
• Serves as a mandatory reporter for Meals on Wheels clients.
• Maintains the assigned vehicle daily per procedures (cleaning, fueling, oil check).
• Records mileage and gas consumption.
• Uses appropriate radio procedures.
