Job summary

Mountainland Association of Governments is seeking an On-Call Meals on Wheels Driver to deliver hot meals to homebound seniors and to operate in the MAG service area, covering Utah and Summit counties. The role is a back-up position with an 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

schedule, Monday through Friday, with variable weekly hours. The position requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and strong communication skills to coordinate with centers and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Graduation or equivalent required.
• 1 year of work experience demonstrating job-related skills.
• Must have, or be able to obtain, Utah County Food Handlers Permit.

Responsibilities

• Drive MAG’s Meals on Wheels truck to deliver hot meals on a predetermined route in the MAG service area.
• Load delivery vehicle with hot meals and other items for delivery.
• Maintain records and reports related to job responsibilities.
• Work cooperatively with the meal delivery team and Meals on Wheels office staff.
• Keep assigned vehicles clean and orderly, and report required maintenance needs.
• Must abide by all laws pertaining to the operation of delivery vehicles.
• Operate vehicles safely, abiding by traffic laws.
• Maintains valid driver’s license and clean driving record; consent to DMV checks.
• Other duties as assigned.
