Job summary

Frederick County Government in Frederick, MD seeks a part-time Meals on Wheels driver to deliver nutritious meals to homebound residents during weekday hours. You will provide a friendly visit, perform wellness checks, and connect clients with necessary services while supporting the Nutrition Program.

The role requires a valid driver's license, the ability to obtain First Aid, CPR and AED certification within six months, and adherence to program policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to become First Aid, CPR, and AED certified within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to understand and follow written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver packaged meals and other resources to homebound clients.
• Keep daily records of route, mileage and other statistics.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and fueling.
• Notify appropriate personnel of vehicle problems.
• Assist with packing meals and maintaining equipment as needed.
• Comply with all regulations and policies.
