Job summary

Decatur County Hospital in Decatur, GA, is seeking a Meal Site Coordinator/Cook to prepare hot and cold meals for patients, cafe service, Leon Community Meal Site, and other meal programs using approved menus and recipes.

This role requires strong presentation and communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally with the dietary team. ServSafe certification is preferred or obtainable within one year of employment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of health care food service experience strongly preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred; or must obtain within one year of employment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Heavy emphasis on attention to detail and ability to think critically.
• Basic experience with excel preferred.

• Assists with stocking food and supplies, cleaning, washing dishes, preparing desserts, rolling silverware, and assisting with special events as directed by the Dietary Director.
• All employees are expected to cross train throughout the dietary department.
