Job summary

The Salvation Army Eastside Corps in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Meal Program Coordinator to organize and oversee the Eastside Corps meal program, volunteers, and meal providers. You will manage the kitchen and dining room operations, ensuring a professional image in person, on the phone, and by email.

This full-time, non-exempt role requires coordinating volunteers, maintaining records, reporting statistics, and upholding Health Department regulations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate preferred.
• Ability to work with limited or no supervision.
• Ability to work with staff and volunteers.
• English fluency to communicate with volunteers and clients.
• Ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
• Must be a team player and have integrity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the dining room for weeknight meals.
• Greet volunteers and assist with meal service.
• Support setup, serving, and cleanup per lead provider.
• Direct clients and count participants as needed.
• Log food donations and maintain records in WellSky.
• Report monthly and yearly stats to programs.
• Ensure Health Department regulations are followed.
• Schedule and communicate with meal providers and volunteers.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Make sure the kitchen and dining area are clean and safe.
