Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory in Cleveland, OH seeks a dedicated kitchen operations professional to provide nutritious meals for year-round Senior and Home-Delivered Meals programs and for Youth Outreach efforts, while maximizing use of donated food and maintaining program compliance.

You will supervise food handling, prepare and package meals, oversee kitchen sanitation, track temperatures and inventories, train volunteers, and coordinate with Corps Officers to ensure menus meet

Qualifications

• ServSafe certification per WRAAA, CACFP, and County Contracts required (within 30 days of employment).
• CPR, AED & First Aid certification preferred.
• Bulk food preparation and meal service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check-in and sign for program food delivery; report inaccuracies to the Director.
• Maintain an orderly pantry area and proper food storage per safety guidelines.
• Prepare and serve meals according to daily menus and program requirements.
• Package and prep home-delivered meals for transport; ensure accuracy.
• Provide program support and coverage for senior activities as per contract guidelines.
• Oversee kitchen operation; maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and dining area.
• Order supplies weekly and manage inventory in coordination with coordinators.
• Adhere to health and safety standards and document temperature logs and meal counts.
