Job summary

The Door is seeking a dedicated Meal & Pantry Operations Specialist to serve breakfast and lunch at the Bronx Youth Center, using Salesforce to track meals and ensure accurate records. You will collaborate with the team to maintain meal delivery accuracy and support pantry operations, including stock management and partnerships for extra meal opportunities.

Typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm, totaling 35 hours per week.

Qualifications

Experience in food service or related field.
Proficient in using Salesforce or similar tracking systems.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
Proactive in problem-solving and adapting to changing needs.
Serve Safe Food Handlers certification.

Responsibilities

Meal Service: Serve breakfast and lunch to young people, ensuring timely and accurate distribution.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of Cafeteria, ensure serving items are well stocked.
Salesforce Utilization: Use Salesforce to track meals, maintaining accurate records to align with the number of meals served.
Collaboration: Work closely with the team and management to ensure seamless collaboration and accuracy in meal preparation and delivery.
Feedback Incorporation: Gather and integrate feedback from young people and key stakeholders to enhance meal services.
Food Pantry Management: Manage the food pantry, overseeing stock levels, cleanliness, organization, and initiating orders for replenishment as needed.
Partnership Identification: Identify and establish partnerships to stock the pantry and provide additional meal opportunities for young people
