Job summary

The Door - A Center of Alternatives, Inc. Bronx Youth Center is seeking a dedicated Meal & Pantry Operations Specialist to serve breakfast and lunch to youth, and to track meals with Salesforce for accurate meal counts.

You will collaborate with staff to ensure precise meal delivery, and you will manage the food pantry, stock levels, and replenishment orders to expand meal opportunities for young people.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or a related field.
• Proficient in using Salesforce or similar tracking systems.
• Serve Safe Food Handlers certification.

Responsibilities

• Meal Service: Serve breakfast and lunch to young people, ensuring timely and accurate distribution
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of Cafeteria, ensure serving items are well stocked
• Salesforce Utilization: Use Salesforce to track meals, maintaining accurate records to align with the number of meals served
• Collaboration: Work closely with the team and management to ensure seamless collaboration and accuracy in meal preparation and delivery
• Feedback Incorporation: Gather and integrate feedback from young people and key stakeholders to enhance meal services
• Food Pantry Management: Manage the food pantry, overseeing stock levels, cleanliness, organization, and initiating orders for replenishment as needed
• Partnership Identification: Identify and establish partnerships to stock the pantry and provide additional meal opportunities for young people
