Job summary

CBS Food Program is seeking a dedicated Driver to ensure safe and timely delivery and pickup of meals, products, and program supplies across our service area. You will support CACFP and SFSP participants by maintaining vehicle integrity and following all safety protocols.

Responsibilities include route planning, pre/post-trip inspections, load/unload duties, and professional communication with site staff. Regular morning starts and multi-county driving are common, with potential overtime during

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record as required for delivery roles.
• Proof of automobile insurance and ability to pass background check.
• Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicle safely to deliver meals and supplies to 20+ sites per route.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report issues to supervisor.
• Load/unload items while maintaining food safety standards.
• Verify deliveries against manifests and site meal counts.
• Maintain delivery logs and obtain signatures at each site.
• Communicate professionally with site staff and management.
• Adhere to traffic laws and CBS Food Program safety policies.
• Protect confidentiality of children, families, and partners.
• Notify supervisor of delays or issues via SMS or phone.
• Keep vehicle clean and collaborate with warehouse on loading sequences.
• Support program expansion and troubleshooting at sites.
