Job summary

Presbyterian Village North in Dallas, TX has immediate openings for an MDS Coordinator (RN) with a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Shift: Days; Monday - Friday. Wonderful environment and strong teammate relationships.

Qualifications

• In depth knowledge and demonstration of MDS skills.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with RAI/MDS/PPS/Medicaid CMI in LTC.
• Experience with electronic medical charting.
• Knowledge of SNF, Medicare documentation and reimbursement guidelines.
• Demonstrated computer competencies.
• Knowledge of current professional nursing theory and practice.
• Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Models a service and solutions oriented attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better.
• Ensure resident safety by remaining aware of and reporting any hazards.
• Completes MDS 3.0 for Medicare residents.
• Tracks Medicare resident benefits days and coordinates with billing and therapy staff.
• Coordinates discharge of residents.
