Job summary

ALIYA Healthcare Consulting seeks an MDS Coordinator to oversee the facility's MDS/RAI processes, ensuring timely, accurate assessments and compliant documentation across nursing, therapy, and administrative teams.

The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary staff, monitoring Medicare and managed care residents, and providing education on MDS, Medicare, RAI, and reimbursement. RN with active license and MDS certification highly preferred.

Qualifications

• RN preferred and active license in the applicable state.
• MDS certification preferred and prior MDS experience.
• Experience with MDS/RAI processes in skilled nursing or long-term care.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, RAI, MDS, reimbursement guidelines.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and MDS software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and complete MDS assessments within regulatory timeframes.
• Oversee the RAI/MDS process per federal and state regulations.
• Review resident records for accurate assessments and coding.
• Monitor MDS submission deadlines and accuracy.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, dietary, social services, and other teams.
• Educate staff on MDS, Medicare, RAI, and reimbursement.
