Job summary

The MDS Nurse at Good Samaritan Brainerd, MN leads nursing staff in planning, organizing and evaluating resident care with a focus on quality of life for seniors. The role centers on Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) processes and ongoing assessments to ensure individualized care plans.

Responsibilities include coordinating with residents, families and an interdisciplinary team, and delegating tasks as charge nurse while maintaining full scope nursing practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate from NLN or AACN accredited nursing program preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• RN license current and in good standing where practicing.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing staff in planning, organizing and evaluating resident care.
• Oversee Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) processes and assessments.
• Coordinate care with residents, families and inter-disciplinary teams.
• Provide patient-centered nursing care following scope of practice.
