Westchester Village in Lenexa, KS is seeking an experienced MDS Coordinator - RN to oversee MDS 3.0 completion within a small skilled nursing unit of a continuing care retirement community.

The role requires an RN licensed in the state with eligibility for RAC certification; the company will support certification training. On-call rotation with the nurse leadership team and professional development opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• RN licensed and committed to ongoing licensure and CEU requirements.
• Preferred RAC certification or willingness to pursue training funded by the company.

Responsibilities

• Timely completion of MDS 3.0 and CMS submittals.
• Oversees the Care Plan initiation and updates.
• Assists in nursing care delivery for residents.
• Initiates preventive and restorative nursing to promote function and independence.
• Assesses residents to ensure appropriate level of care.
• Promotes resident-directed care within the nursing department.
• Assists with staff orientation and training.
• Supports continuing education and program development.
• Proficient with computers and health IT systems.
• Supports state/federal survey processes and regulations.
• Participates in on-call rotation with nurse leadership.
