Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Participates in prospective residents' admission process regarding nursing needs and placement.
• Determines RUGS and expenses for potential admissions.
• Reviews admission applications and communicates assessment results to Admissions Coordinator.
• Completes and assures accuracy of the MDS process for all residents.
• Maintains current Medicare criteria knowledge and informs nursing staff of regulatory changes.
• Monitors Case Mix Index (CMI) for reimbursement risk and changes.
• Facilitates problem-solving for complex admissions.
• Tracks Medicare assessment schedules and nursing documentation for timeliness and accuracy.
• Develops care plans and assessment schedules for residents.
• Uses RAI, MDS 3.0, QM, CBQM, and MBP manuals to inform activities and assessments.
