Job summary

Marianna Health & Rehabilitation in Arkansas is seeking an experienced RN to serve as MDS Coordinator, overseeing the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process to ensure regulatory compliance and care standards.

The role emphasizes developing, implementing, and coordinating the MDS/RAI workflow, with emphasis on OBRA, Medicare/Medicaid familiarity, and accurate documentation to support quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Valid State RN licensure.
• Knowledgeable of OBRA, RAI/MDS processes and LTC payer systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and coordinate the RAI/MDS process to maintain compliance with standards and regulations.
• Ensure adherence to physician orders, company policies, and local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid programs and OBRA requirements and apply them to resident assessments.

As an MDS Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, ensuring the center stays in compliance with current professional practice standards, physician's orders, company policies and procedures, and local, state, and federal regulations.

Entry Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse RN licensure in the state of practice required
• Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid programs, LTC payer systems, the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA), the RAI process, and the MDS process preferred OR prior nursing in a long-term care facility
