Job summary

Dove Healthcare in Michigan is seeking an experienced MDS Coordinator (RN) to join our team and lead MDS processes for the South facility. This hybrid role supports residents with accurate RAI/PPS activities and ensures compliant documentation across facilities.

The ideal candidate will hold a Wisconsin RN license, have a nursing degree, and demonstrate strong time-management, teamwork, and communication skills to improve care and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• One-year MDS experience preferred.
• Current Wisconsin RN licensure.
• Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Ability to understand and carry out technical oral and written instructions.
• Recognize significant changes in residents' conditions.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to accept and give directions and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor RAI/PPS activity.
• Oversee Medicare, insurance, VA, and other programs.
• Maintain OBRA and PPS schedules and electronic records per rules.
• Share information on medical record documentation quality to support RAI.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Comply with laws and regulations applicable to the position.

MDS Coordinator (RN) Responsibilities Include:

• coordinating and monitoring RAI/PPS activity
• oversight and coordination of Medicare, insurance, VA, and other programs
• maintaining OBRA and PPS schedules in a timely, accurate and consistent manner and electronic records in accordance with State and Federal rules/regulations and guidelines
• sharing information related to the quality of medical record documentation to assure the RAI process can be completed
• maintaining confidentiality of all information related to our residents
• comply with laws and regulations applicable to position

MDS Coordinator Required Qualifications:

• one-year MDS experience preferred
• current Wisconsin licensure as a registered nurse
• degree from an accredited school of nursing
• ability to understand and carry out technical oral and written instructions
• recognize significant changes in the condition of residents
• excellent time management skills
• ability to accept and give directions
• work well in a team environment
• a desire to make a difference in people's lives

MDS Coordinator Preferred Qualifications

• previous experience as an RN is preferred - LPN will be considered
• prefer a minimum of one year of long-term care experience with working knowledge of the RAI/PPS process and PDPM, whether in a clinical, reimbursement, or managed care capacity, and a background in utilization review, case management, Medicare, insurance, and VA benefit structure.
