Job summary

Treyburn Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Durham, NC seeks an RN with MDS/RAI expertise to join our team as MDS Coordinator. You will develop, implement, and coordinate the RAI process to ensure compliance with OBRA, Medicare/Medicaid, and facility policies.

You will coordinate with physicians and care staff to maintain regulatory compliance and high-quality resident care, ensuring accurate documentation and ongoing quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN licensure in state of practice.
• Knowledge of OBRA, RAI, and MDS processes.
• Experience with Medicare/Medicaid programs and LTC payer systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and coordinate the RAI/MDS process.
• Ensure compliance with OBRA, state/federal regs, physician orders and facility policies.
• Collaborate with care teams to maintain accurate documentation and high-quality resident care.

As an MDS Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, ensuring the center stays in compliance with current professional practice standards, physician's orders, company policies and procedures, and local, state, and federal regulations.

Entry Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse RN licensure in the state of practice required
• Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid programs, LTC payer systems, the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA), the RAI process, and the MDS process preferred OR prior nursing in a long-term care facility

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONSGraduate of an accredited school of Nursing. Valid State registration as an RN. Knowledgeable of OBRA, the RAI process and LTC payer systems, and MDS process.
