Job summary

Southern HealthCare Management seeks an experienced RN to join our Durham facility as MDS Coordinator. You will develop, implement, and coordinate the RAI process to ensure compliance with OBRA, Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, and facility policies.

Coordinate the MDS assessments, work with clinical teams, physicians, and payers, and drive quality patient care while meeting regulatory requirements. The role offers flexible schedules, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits to team members.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN licensure in the state of practice required.
• Working knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid programs, LTC payer systems, OBRA, RAI/MDS process preferred OR prior nursing in a long-term care facility.

As an MDS Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, ensuring the center stays in compliance with current professional practice standards, physician's orders, company policies and procedures, and local, state, and federal regulations.

Entry Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse RN licensure in the state of practice required
• Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid programs, LTC payer systems, the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA), the RAI process, and the MDS process preferred OR prior nursing in a long-term care facility
