Job summary

Southern HealthCare Management seeks an experienced MDS Coordinator (MDS RN 2nd chair) to develop, implement and coordinate the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, ensuring compliance with professional standards, physician orders, company policies and local, state, and federal regulations.

The role requires active RN licensure in Florida, knowledge of OBRA and RAI/MDS processes, and Medicare/Medicaid familiarity; prior long-term care nursing is advantageous.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Florida required.
• Working knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, OBRA, RAI/MDS processes preferred.
• Experience in a long-term care setting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and coordinate the RAI process.
• Ensure center compliance with professional standards, physician orders, policies and regulations.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in line with OBRA and state requirements.

Entry Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse RN licensure in the state of practice required
• Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid programs, LTC payer systems, the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA), the RAI process, and the MDS process preferred OR prior nursing in a long-term care facility
