Job summary

Preferred Care at Mercer is seeking a qualified MDS Coordinator for a full-time position in our facility. This role focuses on managing the RAI process to optimize reimbursement and quality, coordinating information across nursing, dietary, social services, and physician teams.

You will track Medicare/Managed Medicare/Commercial MDS, conduct weekly utilization reviews, and schedule OBRA assessments. We offer competitive pay commensurate with experience and a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current/active nursing licensure.
• Prior MDS/RAI experience.
• Knowledge of Medicare regulations and coverage guidelines as related to skilled nursing.
• Management & leadership skills.
• Detail oriented & thorough.

Responsibilities

• Management and completion of the RAI process targeting reimbursement and quality.
• Coordinate and integrate information from nursing, dietary, social services, restorative, rehabilitation, and physician services to ensure substantiated reimbursement.
• Tracking of all Medicare/Managed Medicare/Commercial MDS and conduct weekly utilization reviews.
• Schedule and completion of the OBRA assessments.
