Job summary

Northern Montana Hospital in Montana seeks a licensed RN/LPN to coordinate the Resident Assessment Instrument processes and care planning in a Long-Term Care setting. The role includes MDS completion, CMS and Medicare considerations, and collaboration with administration to ensure regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in LTC, proficiency with RAI and CQI data, and knowledge of state licensing. A supportive team and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current RN/LPN license to practice in Montana.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in Long-Term Care.
  • Knowledge of state licensing and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct, coordinate and monitor the MDS/RAI process and care plans.
  • Participate in LTC Utilization Review meetings and CMS-related tasks.
  • Collaborate with Biller to translate MDS/RUG data for Medicare billing.
  • Develop and revise Department Policies & Procedures and provide staff education.
  • Assist administration with LTC/CMS surveys and infection prevention.

About the Role

Conduct, coordinate, and/or monitor the Resident Assessment Instrument Assessment process, including completion of the Minimum Data Set, Resident Assessment Protocols, and care plans. Participate in LTC Utilization Review meetings and maintain current knowledge of the Medicare Prospective Payment System. Work with LTC Biller to ensure accurate translation of MDS/RUG information to the Medicare bill. Maintains knowledge of State and Local licensing boards and all Federal Agency requirements for individual and nursing department. Develops, reviews and revises Department Policies & Procedures. Obtains & maintains AANAC Certification. Assists NMCC Administration with preparation for, and collaboration prior to and during LTC and CMS Survey process. Collaborates with LTC ADON/Staff development in conducting newly hired licensed staff documentation education and periodic Staff education on MDS and RAI process. Maintains LTC Infection Prevention Program.

Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and hold a current RN/LPN license to practice professional nursing in the State of Montana.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience working in a Long-Term Care facility.
  • Possess knowledge relating to age of residents served.
  • Knowledge/skills in data collection and interpretation (tools of CQI).
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in RAI process.

  • Salary is commensurate with up to 10 years of experience.
