Job summary

The Oaks of Clearwater in Florida is seeking a highly skilled MDS Coordinator (active FL RN or LPN license) to oversee MDS/PDPM data collection, review, and submission within our resident-focused care setting.

You will coordinate assessments, collaborate with nursing, physicians, and case managers, ensure timely regulatory submissions, and maintain HIPAA compliance while leveraging Point Click Care or similar EMR systems.

Qualifications

Must hold an active Florida RN or LPN license.
Experience with MDS/PDPM processes and regulatory standards is required.
Strong understanding of SNF Medicare regulations and ICD-10 coding is essential.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the comprehensive assessment and documentation of resident conditions per MDS guidelines.
Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and case managers to collect clinical information for MDS.
Review medical records and coding details to support accurate data entry and payer requirements.
Ensure timely submission of MDS assessments in alignment with regulatory deadlines.
Maintain HIPAA compliance and secure handling of sensitive medical records.
Provide ongoing staff education on documentation improvement and coding updates.
