The role requires familiarity with EMR systems (Point Click Care, Simple LTC), ICD-10 coding, and Medicare regulatory knowledge to support reimbursement, quality reporting, and compliance while coordinating with nursing staff and case managers.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN or LPN license is required.
• Strong knowledge of MDS/PDPM processes and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with ICD-10 coding, DRG assignment, and utilization review processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate comprehensive MDS assessments and documentation per guidelines to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, case managers, and other professionals to collect clinical information for MDS completion.
• Review medical records and coding details to support data entry and payer requirements.
• Ensure timely submission of MDS assessments in line with regulatory deadlines.
• Utilize EMR systems (e.g., Point Click Care or similar) to document assessments in the EHR.
• Educate staff on documentation improvements, coding updates, and CDI practices.
• Monitor quality metrics related to clinical documentation and discharge planning to optimize outcomes.
