Job summary

Ross Manor seeks an experienced MDS Coordinator / Case Mix Nurse to lead accurate resident assessments and ensure regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Director of Nursing, you will champion case mix validity and a teamwork-driven environment for residents.

The role emphasizes coordinating the RAI process, education across disciplines, and maintaining high standards of care in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Current, active Maine RN licensure or Maine LPN licensure.
• MDS and ICD-10 coding experience preferred; RAC-CT certification preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, care planning, and delivery of care in long-term care.
• Working knowledge of geriatric healthcare needs and LTC regulations.
• Proficiency with EMR and Microsoft Office; clear communication with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assess and oversee resident assessments via the RAI process with coding accuracy.
• Review and complete care plans regularly for accuracy and case mix validity.
• Coordinate documentation and instruct staff on proper documentation; communicate MDS due dates.
• Instruct disciplines on MDS items, CAAs, case mix payment systems, and Quality Indicators.
