Job summary

TMC: Therapy Management Corporation in Alabama seeks a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct resident care, administer first aid/CPR, and uphold infection prevention procedures. You will report hazards, complete incident reports, and assist with safety compliance.

Requires 5+ years of post-acute or long-term care experience, CPR certification, and an active AL RN or LPN license. Strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to train and coach other staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama. In performing the essential functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations, the individual cannot pose a direct threat to property, themselves, or others.
• Minimum of five-year’s experience working as a registered nurse or LPN in a post-acute and/or long-term skilled care setting.
• Experience with MDS 3.0, CAA, and care planning processes a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administers emergency first aid and CPR when appropriate.
• Initiates and facilitates the first emergency response in accordance with facility policy.
• Follow established infection prevention and control procedures.
• Follow established procedures in the use and disposal of PPE.
• Report all hazardous conditions and equipment to the director of nursing.
• Prepares incident reports and reports safety violations in accordance with facility policy.
• Report any communicable or infectious disease to the Director of Nursing and/or Infection Preventionist.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to adjust schedule if needed to meet fluctuating case load demands.
