Maryland Department of Labor is seeking an IT Programmer Analyst Supervisor in Baltimore, MD. This full-time, permanent role leads the enterprise web application development team and oversees BEACON modernization while ensuring architectural integrity and governance.

The role requires supervising senior technical personnel, managing architecture decisions, and maintaining comprehensive documentation and stakeholder relationships.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/MIS or related field.
• Three years of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining application systems using programming languages or development tools.
• Experience with SDLC best practices, coding standards, and modern design patterns.
• Supervisory experience in state government or public-sector environment.
• Experience with technical documentation including API references and system architecture diagrams.
• Familiarity with government IT modernization or benefits administration platforms.

The IT Programmer Analyst Supervisor provides strategic technical leadership and manages the enterprise web application development team at the Maryland Department of Labor, with direct responsibility for the BEACON project modernization and architectural integrity. The role involves supervising senior technical personnel, overseeing technical architecture and design decisions, ensuring quality assurance and release governance, managing stakeholder relationships, and maintaining documentation. This is a full-time, permanent position located in Baltimore, Maryland.

Key qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
• Three years of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining application systems using accepted programming languages or developmental tools
• Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices, coding standards, and modern design patterns
• Prior supervisory experience in state government or public-sector environment
• Experience with technical documentation including API references and system architecture diagrams
• Familiarity with government IT modernization or benefits administration platforms
