Job summary

Reynoldsburg City Schools’ WAGGONER RD JR HIGH seeks an Intervention Specialist to provide high-quality, specially designed instruction for students with disabilities, focusing on moderate to intensive needs. You will develop IEPs, monitor progress, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure FAPE in the least restrictive environment.

This exempt, 184-day role requires Ohio licensure, strong knowledge of IDEA/IEP processes, data-driven instruction, and effective family communication

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development and compliance requirements.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students.
• Ability to document, monitor and adjust instructional plans based on data.
• Criminal background check clearance is required (BCI/FBI).

Responsibilities

• Develop annual goals and short-term objectives aligned to IEPs.
• Draft, implement and monitor IEPs in compliance with IDEA and state rules.
• Collect, analyze and use data to monitor student progress and inform instruction.
• Lead or participate in IEP, ETR and collaborative planning meetings.
• Provide high-structure, SDI in inclusive or specialized settings as needed.
• Communicate progress and transitions with families and stakeholders.
