Job summary

Aero Air, Madras, Oregon, seeks an experienced A&P Mechanic – MD87 Tanker Crew Chief to perform routine troubleshooting, inspections and repairs on the Erickson Aero Tanker fleet, while upholding safety and high quality standards.

The role requires FAA A&P License and prior MD-80 type experience; candidates should be able to work outdoors, manage maintenance tasks and coordinate with the maintenance team. Competitive pay, relocation assistance, and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• FAA A&P License in good standing required, or ability to qualify, test, and pass within a short period of time.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience preferred.
• Experience with MD-80 series aircraft desired but not required.
• High School Diploma/GED and required certifications listed above.

Responsibilities

• Perform required maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs for aircraft anywhere in the United States.
• Coordinate and manage adjustment, repair, or replacement of malfunctioning components.
• Coordinate all AOG activities and troubleshooting of instruments and assemblies.
• Adhere to FAA Regulations, Repair Station Manual and Operations Manual.
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete work orders.
