Innovative Consulting & Management Services (ICMS) is seeking an MD Grade 2 Boiler Mechanic for an onsite contract in Beltsville, MD. You will maintain industrial scale boilers, perform preventive maintenance, and support plant operations with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years of boiler maintenance experience, at least 1 year as MD Grade 1 Boiler Mechanic, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years' experience maintaining industrial scale boilers and auxiliary equipment.
• Minimum of one (1) year operating boiler plants as MD Grade 1 Boiler Mechanic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance, maintain logs and history.
• Generate monthly inspection for underground fuel oil storage tanks and maintain boiler house logs.
• Understand boiler operations and how systems integrate with operations.
• Coordinate annual and semiannual Pressure Vessel Inspections with a certified inspector.
• Understand plumbing and repairs related to boilers.
• Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions within scope of authority.

ICMS is looking for an MD Grade 2 Boiler Mechanic to join our team onsite for a contract in Beltsville, Maryland . Successful candidates should be able to operate and maintain industrial scale steam boilers and other plant operations. This position requires detailed knowledge of and the ability to maintain the facility's Steam Boiler operations, including auxiliary equipment. The Boiler Mechanic will perform routine maintenance and repair of boilers and auxiliary equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance, maintain accurate logs and history.
• Generate monthly inspection for underground fuel oil storage tanks and maintain Boiler house Maintenance logs, operational logs, and fuel oil measurement logs
• Knowledge of operations and how Boiler systems integrate and support operations
• Facilitate annual and semiannual Pressure Vessel Inspections with a certified inspector
• Possess a thorough understanding of plumbing and repairs as it pertains to Boilers.
• Possess analytical skills necessary to recognize, diagnose, and, within limits, repair equipment and system malfunctions.
• Learn specific boiler manufactured equipment and develop SOPs and PMs
• Understand verbal and written instructions and to give readily understood information in both verbal and written forms

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years' experience maintaining industrial scale boilers and auxiliary equipment.
• Minimum of one (1) year operating boiler plants as a licensed MD Grade 1 Boiler Mechanic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English.

Required Licenses and Certifications

• A valid state's driver's license (with no major infractions) is required
• Maryland Stationary Engineer Grade 2 - 300 -499 HP
• OSHA 30 Training

Security Clearance

All contractor personnel must attain and maintain a USDA LincPass and pass a background check; personnel must be U.S. Citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents.

Job Type

Non-Exempt, Full-Time Onsite Position (Telecommute not considered for this position)

Work schedules are subject to change based on client and company needs. As a management position, this person will be on call regularly and be available for and respond to emergencies off shift.

Hourly Pay

$42.88 per hour
