Job summary

General Motors seeks a senior Systems Engineering leader to define and drive the future-state MBSE operating model and digital thread. You will shape a model-driven ecosystem, ensure end-to-end traceability, and guide adoption across programs with Agile and concurrent engineering influences.

You will coordinate across GEOS, IT, software, hardware, and safety teams to implement scalable, tool-agnostic methods and governance that enable rapid, reliable engineering outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in engineering, computer science, IT, or related field.
• 8+ years relevant experience in systems engineering or MBSE.
• Deep MBSE practice across requirements, architecture, behavior, interfaces, analysis, and V&V.
• Enterprise architecture of complex engineering toolchains and data ecosystems.
• SysML and model management with SysML v1/v2 awareness.
• Deploying and managing modern MBSE ecosystems.
• Requirements management with bidirectional traceability and change analysis.
• Integration patterns, APIs, OSLC or equivalent standards, data flows.

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise MBSE ecosystem architecture including data ownership and lifecycle responsibilities.
• Define the target operating model spanning people, process, data, tools, governance.
• Establish MBSE method, SysML profile, metamodel, and reusable libraries.
• Architect MBSE integration across requirements, architecture modeling, PLM/ALM, and safety.
• Define migration strategies for legacy toolchains while maintaining continuity.
• Lead cross-functional architecture decisions across multiple GM domains.
