Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Systems Engineer (MBSE/C2) to join our USAF program in San Diego, CA. The Systems Engineer will support C2 weapon system capability development, helping maintain system architecture models in Cameo.

Applicants should have 5+ years in systems engineering for weapon systems, hands-on MBSE, and experience with Cameo or Sparx EA; DOORS/JAMA for requirements management is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering and architecture for weapon systems.
• Hands-on MBSE experience.
• Experience with Cameo Systems Architect and/or Sparx Enterprise Architect.

Responsibilities

• Apply systems engineering principles across the full lifecycle of a technical program.
• Develop, manage, and maintain system architecture models using MBSE tools (SysML, UPDM, DoDAF).
• Lead definition, decomposition, and management of system requirements with traceability.
• Conduct trade studies and risk assessments to inform technical decisions.
• Define and manage system interfaces for interoperability.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and test engineers for cohesive system design.
• Support system integration, verification, and validation activities.
