Job summary

KBR’s National Security Solutions team seeks a Systems Engineer to join on-site in Chantilly, VA. A current/active TS/SCI with poly is required. You will support digital engineering and MBSE efforts, coordinating across government partners and applying MBSE methods to enterprise-level models and data.

You will help shape defense systems design and optimization to meet SOW requirements, with minimal travel and standard work hours, contributing to secure national security outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current/active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 2 years of experience.
• Foundational understanding of systems engineering principles and familiarity with Digital Engineering (DE)/Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Basic understanding of data concepts and technologies such as relational databases, ontology, Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) or Systems Modeling Language (SysML).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct support activities with Analytic Boards in which the Office of Enterprise Analysis coordinates analysis across this Government organization.
• Coordinates across other Government organizations.
• Under supervision, deliver foundational digital engineering (DE) approaches that ensure the engineering and MS&A processes are met.
• Assist technical teams and leadership in the implementation of MBSE methods and techniques.
• Assist in developing and supporting enterprise level digital engineering approaches, ensuring that models, data, and information are accessible, interconnected, and structured to support organizational goals.
• Ensure that systems engineering and MS&A processes covered in the SOW requirements are followed.
• Support the federated modeling approach across the enterprise and mission partners.
• Adhere to the MBSE modeling methodology guidelines and principles established by the team.
• Ability to communicate modeling concepts and best practices to stakeholders at varying levels.
