Job summary

KBR is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer (Digital Engineering Process Support) to join our team on site in Chantilly, VA. This role supports Digital Engineering and MBSE efforts for enterprise-wide adoption, under the supervision of senior staff.

A TS/SCI with Polygraph is required, and the position offers exposure to cutting-edge MBSE practices in a national security context. The candidate will assist in developing DE-based data practices, supporting model-based analyses, and helping modernize

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 0 years of experience; STEM degrees preferred.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
• Foundational understanding of systems engineering and MBSE.
• Basic understanding of data concepts such as relational databases, ontology, UAF or SysML.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teammates and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist in fulfilling Digital Engineering (DE) processes and MBSE methods for enterprise adoption.
• Support MBSE efforts including model-based analyses, digital thread development, and model portfolio standards.
• Assist MBSE practitioners and modernization of systems engineering and acquisition processes.
• Deliver foundational DE approaches to ensure engineering and MS&A processes are met.
• Support enterprise-wide digital engineering approaches, ensuring models and data are accessible and interoperable.
• Adhere to defined MBSE methodologies and guidelines for project work.
• Communicate modeling concepts effectively to stakeholders at varying levels.
