Job summary

Sabre Systems, LLC is seeking a Journeyman MBSE Systems Engineer to support the Future Advanced Capability (FAC) PMA-228 program at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. Location is on-site; Top Secret/SCI eligible security clearance and US citizenship are required.

You will apply engineering principles to design, test, and evaluate military weapons systems, develop MBSE models using UML/SysML, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to inform key technical decisions

Qualifications

• Technical BS or BA degree required.
• Minimum 2 years of MBSE-focused systems engineering experience.
• Experience with MBSE tools: Cameo Suite and related tools.
• US citizenship and TS/SCI eligibility.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to design, test, and evaluate military weapons systems.
• Review and prepare engineering analyses, reports, and change proposals.
• Perform system integration, configuration management, QA testing, and resource management.
• Analyze and develop software, components, or systems for engineering requirements.
• Apply MBSE practices and build architecture models to inform decisions.

Responsibilities

Sabre Systems is currently recruiting a Journeyman MBSE Systems Engineer for the Model-Based Systems Engineering Division to support the Future Advanced Capability (FAC) Program Office (PMA-228) at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. PMA-228 supports the development of the Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) capability for the Navy. Location is on-site as required. A Top Secret/SCI Eligible Security Clearance is required.

Primary Responsibilities

• Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems.
• Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
• Applies systems engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.
• Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems, or management information systems.
• Experience with MBSE practices.
• Expertise in building and assessing systems engineering and architecture models using modeling methodologies to conduct technical assessments and recommendations that inform key technical decisions.
• Experience with systems engineering analyses and using the results with other engineering models to draw conclusions and optimize performance, schedule, timing, costs, etc.
• Experience with how system requirements, design, analysis, verification and validation activities are enabled by MBSE across the digital thread (the engineering lifecycle).
• Requires experience with systems engineering and of model-based methodologies.
• Experience with the use of modeling languages and frameworks such as UML, SysML, and UAF.

Qualifications

• Must have a have a Technical BS or BA degree.
• Minimum of two (2) years recent and relevant Systems Engineering experience with Model-Based Engineering applications and technology.
• Experience using MBSE Tools, such as Cameo System Modeler, Cameo Enterprise Architect, Teamwork Cloud, and Cameo Collaborator.
• Familiarity with interface definition practices and verification fundamentals
• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, review-driven environment with multiple stakeholders
• Top Secret/SCI eligible security clearance is required
• Selected candidate must be able to pass a background investigation
• Must be a US Citizen

Compensation Statement

At Sabre Systems, LLC, compensation is based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific requirements; however, final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms. The general salary range for this position is as follows: $130,000.00 - $14,000.00
