General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. in Poway, CA seeks a strong Systems Engineer with MBSE/DoDAF background to lead model-based architecture development and CONOPS for complex defense programs.

You will work with customers and end users to translate needs into architectures, data flows, and requirements, and coordinate across multiple teams on internal and customer-funded efforts. A DoD Secret Clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Advanced engineering degree with 12+ yrs (BSc), 10+ yrs (MSc), or 7+ yrs (PhD) experience; substitutions allowed.
• Experience developing CONOPS with operators or user surrogates.
• Experience with modeling tools: Cameo, MagicDraw, Enterprise Architect.
• SysML modeling experience.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsabilités

• Develop CONOPS with customers to drive detailed system design and requirements.
• Lead system architecture development through MBSE and architecture models.
• Serve as focal point on programs for system knowledge and design decisions.
• Understand the system, subsystems, and interfaces across domains.
• Design and assure interfaces between software and hardware using architecture models.
• Develop data flows and diagrams to define hardware and software systems.
• Work across product areas from Command/Control to Payloads and Exploitation systems.
