SAIC in San Diego, CA seeks an experienced Model Based Systems Engineer to support a United States Air Force customer on-site. You will develop MBSE models using SysML, UPDM, and DoDAF; manage requirements; conduct trade studies; define interfaces; and collaborate with software, hardware, and test teams. Produce technical documentation for stakeholders.

U.S. Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly is required; DoDAF/UPDM/UAF familiarity and INCOSE certification

• MBSE expertise with lifecycle coverage and traceability.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication across diverse teams.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain TS/SCI Poly.
• INCOSE certification (e.g., CSEP, ASEP) desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Apply systems engineering across full lifecycle from concept to disposal.
• Develop and maintain system architecture models using MBSE tools (SysML/UPDM/DoDAF).
• Lead requirements management with traceability to program objectives.
• Conduct trade studies, analyses of alternatives, and risk assessments.
• Define and manage system interfaces for interoperability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional software, hardware, and test teams.
• Support integration, verification, and validation activities.
• Prepare technical documentation and briefings for stakeholders.
• Coordinate with program management to meet schedule and budget.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.
