Job summary

APR Consulting, Inc. seeks a Principal Systems Engineer with an active Secret clearance in San Diego, CA to apply Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using Cameo and DOORS and develop system architecture from concept through disposal.

The role requires collaboration with design, logistics, and program IPT teams to ensure schedule, cost, and performance goals while aligning with overall system needs. Candidates should have strong communication and MBSE experience.

Qualifications

US Citizen required.
CLEARANCE: A current/active US Government Secret clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Software, or related STEM field with 5 years of experience; or 3 years experience with a Master’s (MS) degree; or 1 year experience with a STEM PhD.
Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills.
Proven experience in the systems engineering process.
Experience in system requirements development, management, analysis, verification, or validation.
Must currently have SAP or must be able to obtain and maintain SAP.

Responsibilities

Translate customer requirements into specifications using DOORS.
Develop systems architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture (behavioral, structural, analytical).
Ensure system requirements, architecture, and designs meet program needs.
Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop engineering artifacts.
Communicate effectively at technical and program reviews.
