Northrop Grumman in San Diego, CA seeks a Systems Engineer 2 / Principal Systems Engineer 3 to join our Systems Engineering team. You will contribute to MBSE artifacts, write specifications, and collaborate across IPTs on modernization and sustainment efforts.

This role requires a STEM degree with experience, ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, and experience with Python, DOORS, Cameo, and MBSE. Occasional travel and a strong communications ethos are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 2 years of related experience, or Master’s in STEM with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance and SAP clearance.
• Experience with Python or other scripting language.
• Experience with DOORS and MBSE workflows.
• Experience with Cameo and model-based design.

Responsabilités

• Develop MBSE artifacts using Cameo.
• Perform requirements development, allocation, verification/validation planning and manage interface definition efforts.
• Write complex specifications, interface control documents, and engineering reports.
• Support interface/communication with program, functional and subsystem leads.
• Maintain Systems Engineering artifacts following configuration management procedures.
• Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure proper verification and validation of Systems Engineering artifacts.
