Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks a Requirements Systems Engineer to support USSF programs, contributing to SE&I activities, MBSE development, and requirements analysis.

You will develop, refine, and verify system and subsystem requirements, ensuring clear traceability and verifiability. Work with government and contractor teams to close requirement gaps using DOORS, lead or support technical working groups, prepare materials, and assist program leadership with briefings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, math, CS or a related STEM field.
• 3–5 years of experience in systems engineering or requirements management.
• Experience with requirements specification, analysis, and verification.
• Familiarity with requirements traceability tools such as DOORS.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support MBSE activities to develop, refine, and maintain system and subsystem baselines.
• Develop, analyze, refine, and manage system and subsystem requirements with traceability.
• Participate in requirements verification and review TRDs, ICDs, and artifacts.
• Work with government and contractor teams to close requirement gaps using DOORS.
• Lead or support technical working groups and document minutes and actions.
• Assess impacts to baselines and identify integration considerations across space/ground stakeholders.
• Review program documentation and collaborate on adjudication and updates.
• Provide inputs and support briefings for USSF program leadership.
• Support risk, issue, and dependency management and propose solutions.
