Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. seeks a Model‑Based Systems Engineer to support the MDA Targets and Countermeasures program. You will craft SysML models, trace requirements, and integrate MBSE with simulations and data repositories.

The role emphasizes architecture trade studies, interface analysis, and technical baseline reviews. A BA/BS and DoD program experience are required, plus active clearance and MBSE tool proficiency.

Qualifications

• MBSE using SysML to describe system behaviors, structure and interfaces.
• Trace requirements to architecture artifacts and ensure verification readiness.
• Experience with DoD programs and security compliance.
• Hands‑on with MBSE tools (Cameo, Sparx) and data management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain descriptive system models using SysML.
• Map requirements to architecture artifacts for end‑to‑end traceability.
• Link MBSE models with simulations and data repositories in digital engineering.
• Prepare model‑centric artifacts for milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, CCBs).
• Conduct trade studies and analyze interfaces to resolve integration risks.
• Maintain version control and configuration baseline for SysML models.
